Been a long while since I last posted due to life stuff, but below is a first draft of the equipment UI and how weapons display different effects on the equipping units stat growths.

This week has just been drafting last weeks idle animation. I also created the main window for the chapter start screen as seen below. A lot of functionality still needs to be added and that will be ongoing along with animation.

Been a few weeks since I’ve posted due to a combination of job interviewing and also struggling with the design of the character below. Getting the perspective of the anchor right has been in a challenge and has made me have to rethink my drafting process a bit. My hope is to be able to come close to finishing the swing animation which is going to end up using alot of 2DFX which will probably involve some programming to make it all come together. Last week was redoing the front page of the website and programming in all the features of the new UI.

I also finally finished the sprites for pathing where as I had left it as a green placeholde for a long time.

Spent some time adding the animated map sprites for existing characters.

Currently still programming in the New UI as well as redoing character portraits in a new style. Hit some road blocks with the long crit animations and putting those off for now in favor of getting the final version of the UI in. Thanks for reading.
Past few days have been tweaking the mountain tiles so that they can be dynamically constructed while building the maps.





Below is the redesign of the BattleUI I talked about last week. I’m still adding other functional portions and animated UIs but the overall look is more polished than the pixel panels from before.


This week I started work on another background environment for towns and below is an animated fountain for the bg. I also started a redesign of the battle UI menu, what I had before was just a pixel art place holder. I’ll be finishing the asset panels for it in the coming days. There’s also quite a bit of programming involved with that portion.
